A Beginner’s Guide to Setting up Your First Cubase Project

Starting your music production journey can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Cubase, a popular digital audio workstation (DAW), offers powerful tools for musicians and producers. This guide will walk you through the basics of setting up your first Cubase project.

Getting Started with Cubase

Before creating your first project, ensure that Cubase is installed on your computer and that your audio interface and MIDI devices are properly connected. Launch Cubase and familiarize yourself with the interface.

Creating a New Project

To start a new project, follow these steps:

  • Open Cubase and click on File in the top menu.
  • Select New Project.
  • Choose a template or select Empty for a blank project.
  • Specify the location and name for your project file.
  • Click Create.

Setting Up Your Tracks
